Dalai Lama asks boy to ‘suck his tongue’, Video Goes Viral

After a video surfaced of the Tibetan spiritual leader kissing a young child on the lips and then requesting that he "suck his tongue," the Dalai Lama found himself at the focus of a controversy.

Social media users have responded angrily to the video, which has become very popular.

In the video, the Dalai Lama kisses the little boy on the lips as the latter leans in to show reverence.

The Tibetan spiritual leader eventually points to his mouth and sticks his tongue out.

The Dalai Lama can be heard asking the young kid in the video, "Can you suck my tongue?"

The video has triggered a row, with netizens calling the spiritual leader’s behaviour “disgusting” and "creepy".

This is not the first time the Dalai Lama has faced public backlash.

A few years ago, the Dalai Lama caused controversy when he said that if a woman were to succeed him, she would need to be "attractive."

“Utterly shocked to see this display by the Dalai Lama. In the past, too, he’s had to apologize for his sexist comments. But saying - 'Now suck my tongue' to a small boy is disgusting,” a netizen tweeted.

Another user said, “What am I seeing? Is this the Dalai Lama? Needs to be arrested for pedophilia. Disgusting.”
